Modular Walls

First project of the year! We're toying with the idea of solid walls throughout the entire funeral home and this is a test of a modular wall system for the inside. The key here was light, easy to move and above all CHEAP. This unit cost $22, which I challenge anyone to build for less (and keep it safe). We need to do a tad more measuring in the house to make sure we can build the hallways using this method and the next step will be building all of the panels and determining whether to paint or wallpaper them.

Morgue Freezer

Last year, in a fit of stupidity, I destroyed the morgue freezer walls. Granted, they were made of foam, so it wasn't very hard. This year, I'm starting over and building them out of MDF. Here is the first step, the doors. Since they will be nice and strong, we'll be adding real hardware this year as well, so overall we should end up with a much more authentic morgue in the end. The second photo is to show the ridiculous amount of detail I will go to... I'll spend an hour per door getting this amazing rounded edge and you will NEVER see it under show lighting.
